Kevin Walsh unplugged
A flying visit to Cork, with the usual mix of familiarity and strangeness.
No panic in the parlours and howling in the halls. At least, not at Wimpole Hall, west of Cambridge.
Our third visit in as many years to the Deux-Sèvres features cobalt skies, churches galore, brunch at La Serrurerie in Poitiers and (inevitably) an Irish pub in Angoulême. And 37 degrees in the shade – but for one day only.
